Darling Baaka River Health Project data 2023-2025

This dataset contains raw biological, water quality, and riparian vegetation data collected as part of the Darling Baaka River Health Project (DBRHP) between 2023 and 2025. The data was collected across multiple sites to assess river health and inform environmental management and recovery efforts following major flood events.

The four Excel files include: Biological Raw Data: macroinvertebrate, zooplankton, and fish survey data. Water Quality Raw Data: physicochemical parameters, nutrients, metals, pesticides. Riparian Vegetation Raw Data: field-based assessments of riparian condition, species composition, and groundcover. Passive sampler raw data: pesticide passive sampler data.

The dataset underpins the assessment of the health of the lower Darling Baaka River using the River Condition Index framework. Further information about field data collection and data analysis methods, and analysis of findings can be found at DCCEEW (2025) Darling Baaka River Health Project 2023 to 2025, Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water.
